"In 1964, Omega asked a rising designer, Gérald Genta, to modernize its flagship. The result: the Constellation “C-Shape,” with continuous flanks forming a C, highly legible dials, and matched or integrated bracelets—a more architectural, contemporary vision of the precision watch. References 168.017/019 and their siblings became the emblems of this era, while the Pie-Pan continued in parallel.
