The Georgian era is historically defined as the duration of King George I through King George (William) IV’s reign in England although when we’re looking at Georgian Era pieces in jewellery, we’re including pieces originating from other countries from that period. 

The Georgian era of jewellery is arguably the earliest definable era in European jewellery history. During this time, the middle class became more able to access fine jewellery, in part thanks to the beginning of the industrial revolution.
