The stone offers all the best features of an antique Old Mine Cut: a wide expanse that shows off that satisfying, iconic open culet, and a smaller number of facets, that enhance the depth of these old stones, rather than the light. It is set into a striking but simple setting, made entirely in 18K gold.
Please note, the top half of this ring is an original early-Victorian era ring; but the lower half of the shank has been completely refabricated with a thicker gold band. This upgrade has significantly extended the life of the band. Please also note that due to the age of the piece, there are minor chips along the girdle of the diamond.
