This piece was made by Earl Muldoe, a master carver in wood, bone, gold and silver. He began carving in 1969 - a student of Gitanmaax School of Northwest Coast Art and Design. He carved the doors of the Museum of Anthropology at UBC and was the Chief of Gitxsan First Nation from 1936 to 2022.
