This piece was created by Corrine Hunt, who studied at Simon Fraser University before her uncle, Kwakwaka'wakw artist Norman Brotchie, sparked her interest in hand-engraved jewelry. Hunt co-created the medals for the 2010 Olympic Games with designer Omer Arbel.
