This is a very old Victorian Era diamond ring, and there have been some repairs made to this piece over the years. The ring has been reshanked for durability reasons, but the rest of the piece is in original condition. The new shank was manufactured in 14k yellow gold, and the front of the piece has been assayed at 15k yellow gold. As you can see in the photos there is a slight split in the mounting, but it does not effect the durability of the setting.
