This year, gold has reached historic highs, recently crossing $5,200 CAD per ounce, more than 10% higher than the base price used for our current collections. Gold is the foundation of our pieces and to reflect this shift in value, we will be adjusting prices on October 1,2025.
Unlike traditional retail pricing, our approach to pricing here at 100 Ways reflects the unique lifecycle of each jewel:
-
We begin by carefully sourcing and buying pieces, with buying costs tied directly to the market value of gold.
-
From there, our experts sort and select the finest items to restore and prepare for a new chapter.
-
Every chosen piece is cleaned, repaired, and thoughtfully curated into our collection.
-
Pieces that are not selected are responsibly recycled, their gold refined and precious stones carefully removed to start the cycle again.
-
That commitment to sustainability in the jewellery doesn’t stop there. All new pieces we add to our 100 Ways Signature Collection are created with recycled gold and the diamonds and gemstones we reclaimed from pieces in the refinement stage.
When gold moves as sharply as it has, it affects every step of this process, from sourcing, to restoration, to the trusted craftspeople who handle repairs and resizing. Adjusting our prices allows us to continue working responsibly and sustainably.
What remains unchanged
Our promise to you. Each jewel we offer, whether a one-of-a-kind vintage treasure or a new creation from our 100 Ways Signature Collection, is prepared with the same attention, expertise, and respect for its next chapter. Our pricing will continue to be thoughtful and fair, reflecting the true value of each piece: the weight of gold, the quality of its gemstones, and the rarity of its design.
Thank you for letting us be part of your story, and for allowing us to continue sharing jewellery that is as meaningful and lasting as the lives it touches. Your trust and support make this journey possible.
With gratitude,
The 100 Ways Team
